The Undergraduate Fellowships Office (UFO) is housed in the Paul W. Martin Sr. Honors Building, Room 220. The primary objective for the UFO is to assist MTSU's undergraduates in competing for a range of prestigious national and international scholarships and fellowships. These include, among many others, the Fulbright, Goldwater, Marshall, Rhodes and the Udall fellowship programs. An important secondary objective is to promote students' awareness of, and interest in, national and international honor societies such as Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key International, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Tau Sigma.

The UFO is overseen by the Honors College and is housed in it. However, its services are offered to all enrolled MTSU undergraduates, alumni and accepted students. Key services offered include:

1.  Guidance in applying to fellowships competitions for

               --Fellowships outside MTSU

               --National Postgraduate Opportunities

               --International Postgraduate Opportunities

2.  Assistance in preparing personal statements and project outlines.

3.  Forwarding completed application packets to the appropriate authorities. (This
is often required by some funding and fellowship-granting organizations.)

4.  Meeting spaces, a dedicated home and assistance for select honor society
      chapters.

Your decision to use the services of the UFO could make applying for fellowships a rich and meaningful experience and bring about a vital difference in your future. We invite you to visit soon!

NOTE TO NON-MTSU STUDENTS: If you are not currently enrolled at MTSU, you are encouraged to use your local public library and/or the library of your current or previous academic institution to find information on fellowship opportunities.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS should check with his or her home country's embassy for possible funding.
